2. Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Search engine optimization is probably one of the more important ways in which you can market your website and business. The yellow pages is dead and more than 80% of people will do their research on search engines such as Google and Yahoo rather than the yellow pages.

The majority of searches performed each day on Google is for local products and services. For instance.. People will type into Google something like "dentist + city name" , "Indian food + zip code" , auto mechanic + city" and so forth. It is easy to see that if your business is not on the search engines today then you are losing out on a big chunk of new business.

The second part of SEO is called off page optimization and this is where we will have to build back links to your site among other things to make sure the search engines sees your site as an authority site and as a result your site will get higher rankings.

In order to keep your business on top of the search results off page optimization needs to be done on a continuous basis and our fees starts at $200.00 per month depending on how many pages you have and also how strong your competition is. Email marketing is probably the best and most cost effective marketing medium for most businesses. Most businesses focus only on aquiring new customers which is the hardest and most expensive way to grow a business. They overlook the fact that they can get their current customer base to buy from them more often and make a huge impact on their bottom line. For instance, if you can get the customers that buy from you once a month to buy twice a month and the ones that buys once a week to buy twice a week you can essentially double your business.

Here's an example of how we can implement email marketing in your business. Let's say you have a restaurant or a nursery. We can give away something for free like a dessert in the resaurant's case or a free report with some gardening tips in the nursery's case. We give away this free gift in exchange for contact details which will then go on a database.

The trick here is to keep the videos short and to the point. People have very short attention spans on the internet and videos must not be longer than 2 minutes. 30 Seconds to 1 minute is perfect.

Google owns Youtube and therefore videos rank very high on the search engines. Article marketingworks almost the same way as video marketing does. It is a very effective marketing tool. Here's an example of how article marketing can be used in a business. I am going to use a Nursery again. Let's say you sell quite a bit of a certain type of fertilizer because it is really effective to help tomatoes grow in your area.

My team of experienced writers will then write an article about growing tomatoes in this area and also mention that this certain type of fertilizer is proven to increase the chances of successfully growing tomatoes in this area. Then at the end of the article we will end it with something like this "For more information about this type of fertilizer and where to get it at the best price click here"

The user will then be pre sold on the fertilizer and click through to your website. By doing it this way we've accomplished 2 things.

1. You established yourself and your business as the expert in your niche because you have all these articles published all over the internet.

2. You pre sold the prospect on the fertilizer and when he or she clicks on to your website chances are good that he or she will end up buying the fertilizer.

If you have for example 3000 followers and you tweet a promotion you are running this weekend you are sure to make some sales from the twitter community.
